Common Questions

We’ve answered the ones we hear most from builders and tradies.

Can I see if a job is profitable using these integrations?

That's exactly what it's for. By pulling in your actual costs and supplier invoices from your accounting software, NextMinute gives you a live view of your finances and job profitability so you know exactly where you stand.

Does the sync work both ways or just one way?

It’s a proper two-way sync. This means whether you're updating something in your accounting software or in NextMinute, the data flows back and forth to keep your books balanced and your job costs accurate.

Will I know if a client has paid their bill without opening my accounting app?

You sure will. When a payment is recorded in your accounting software, NextMinute picks it up and notifies you. It’s a great way to stay on top of your cashflow while you're out on site or on the tools.

Is the integration between NextMinute and my accounting software hard to set up?

It’s pretty straightforward, but you don't have to go it alone. Our local Sydney-based team can jump on a call to help you get everything connected and even help import your existing jobs and quotes so you're ready to go.

Will my supplier bills show up against my jobs automatically?

Yes, you can sync supplier bills between your accounting software and NextMinute. This is a massive help for tracking your actual costs against your quotes so you can see if a job is actually making money or just chewing up margin.

How does the invoicing sync work between NextMinute and Xero or MYOB?

You can draft and send your invoices in NextMinute using your job data, and with one click, they’re sent over to your accounting software. You don't need to manually re-type anything, which means fewer mistakes and a happy bookkeeper.

How do my timesheets get from the site to my bookkeeper for payroll?

Once the crew logs their hours in the app, that timesheet data flows directly into your payroll software (after approval). It cuts out the Friday night scramble to find lost dockets and makes sure the boys get paid the right amount on time.

Which accounting packages does NextMinute actually work with?

It plugs straight into the big three that most Aussie tradies use: Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks. It’s a two-way sync, so your info stays updated in both your job management and your accounting software without you having to lift a finger.

Do I have to enter my customer details twice if I use an accounting app?

Not at all. The contact sync means when you add a new client or supplier in NextMinute, they automatically pop up in your accounting software, and it works the other way around too. It saves a heap of admin and keeps your database clean.
